Our opinion is that everyone is different and therefore each personal training and nutritional plan needs to reflect this. We pride ourselves on vast knowledge and experience in all aspects of fitness.
We are a fitness community filled with people who share the motivation to improve their lives. All of our members have goals, a plan to achieve them and will make progress they didn’t know they were capable of.
Implexus is a gym built by athletes for athletes – there’s an athlete in everyone.
We’re owned and run by local Sports Professionals. Former Leeds Rhinos Rugby Player, International Strength and Conditioner, 5x Grand Finals winner and master Strongman; Ian Kirke, and Strength and Conditioner, Elite powerlifter, British record holder and coach; Chris Jennings. With a rare insight into fitness that few people have access to and local sports persons ranging from track and field athletes, powerlifters, strongmen/women, rugby players to name but a few, Implexus is your chance to be a part of that world.
There are various different types of strength. In our opinion, being strong means different things for each person. A powerlifter hones his skills to lift a heavy load once or twice. A bodybuilder trains higher reps to failure. However, with MCT we are more concerned with building a base for functional strength. Non-uniform objects and loaded carries are examples of how we train, and we believe this has better crossover to being able to apply your strength in everyday practices. Training for this type of strength has many benefits, including fat loss and boosting metabolism.
At Implexus strength and conditioning come hand in hand. The intensity of the strength workouts creates its own metabolic stresses. It’s our philosophy that conditioning is being able to perform strength based activities for prolonged periods of time. This enables optimal fat loss potential and has a whole host of long-term health benefits.
The two principals of strength and conditioning, along with good nutrition, are the foundations for health and aesthetic goals. As athletes and through our studies, we have acquired extensive knowledge in the area and have learned first-hand that nutrition is imperative to all health and fitness aspirations. Nutrition is not a one size fits all philosophy. We’re here to help, your goals are our goals.
